PGA

PGA (Polyglycolic Acid) is a synthetic braided absorbable sterile surgical suture, composed of a homopolymer of glycolic acid, and is provided coated with polycaprolactone and calcium stearate. The suture is available in a wide range of diameter – length combinations attached to high-quality medical grade stainless steel needles of different sizes and types.

 

PGA suture meets all requirements established by the European Pharmacopeia for sterile Synthetic Absorbable Braided Sutures and with the essential requirements of the directive 93/42/EEC.
